Pleasantly surprised
My husband and I along with our two young children stayed at the Skimmerhorn on July 17th of this year. We were on our way to Calgary from Penticton and were trying to make it to Cranbrook where we were going to stay for the night. We didn't want to stay in Creston, because our past experiences with the motels there had not been great. When we got to Creston, it was already almost 9PM and we realized that there was no way our children would make the drive all the way to Cranbrook, so we stopped and managed to get the last room at the Skimmerhorn Inn. We were not expecting much, but when we opened the door to our room we were pleasantly surprised. There were two separate sleeping areas (rooms) which had been newly renovated. The place was extremely clean and we were so glad we lucked out and got to stay there insteads of one of those icky Creston motels.
